And to honor that, there are numerous centennial events planned throughout the year that you won’t want to miss. Check the district’s website and Facebook page frequently to learn more about upcoming events.

In the meantime, there’s still time to sign up for the BH-BL Centennial 5k Challenge & Kids’ Fun Run being held Saturday, Sept. 19. To learn more, view attached PDF containing details and a sign up form. You can also sign up online.

Save Saturday, Oct. 10 for the district’s Centennial Celebration beginning at 11 a.m. when school leaders, alumni and local dignitaries host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the district’s new multi-purpose athletic field.
Following the ribbon cutting spectators are encouraged to walk around and visit student-run booths where food and drinks, as well as Spartan and Centennial memorabilia, will be sold.

The homecoming football game against Gloversville begins at 2:30 p.m. and will be held on the new turf field. Stick around to watch the girls’ varsity field hockey game against Bethlehem being held under the lights on the new turf field at 6 p.m.

At 7 p.m. in the HS Auditorium treat yourself to “HOME”–A Burnt Hills Alumni Cabaret where theatre alumni from all decades will be lighting up the auditorium for a night of musical theatre, old and new, to help kick off the newly formed Drama Booster Club.

At 8:30 p.m., join us back outside for fireworks.

Hope to see you there!
